Claudine'S Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. shortening
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. mashed ripe bananas
    3 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    3/4 to 1 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
Preparation
    Cream shortening, sugar, eggs and vanilla.
    Add all dry ingredients except nuts until blended.
    Add mashed bananas and beat 3 minutes.
    Stir in nuts.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 55 minutes in angel food pan or 2 loaf pans.
    Cool 10 minutes and remove from pans.
