Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. butter
    5 c. sugar
    2 c. corn syrup
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. water
    1 lb. raw blanched peanuts
    1/2 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Place sugar, syrup and water in kettle.
    As soon as a batch begins to boil, put in peanuts which have been blanched and let boil, stirring constantly, to hard crack.
    Remove from stove. Stir in butter and cut in small pieces.
    Salt and return to stove and let boil a minute or so.
    Remove from stove.
    Add soda.
    Pour on buttered pan.
