Seafood Gumbo - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. crabmeat
    1 lb. shrimp
    1 large bell pepper
    1 large onion
    2 cans tomatoes
    4 Tbsp. flour
    4 Tbsp. bacon drippings
    2 c. water
Preparation
    Brown flour (almost burnt) in bacon drippings.
    Brown onion and bell pepper (lightly) in another pan.
    Combine and add tomatoes and water.
    Salt and pepper to taste.
    Cook slowly 45 minutes, then add seafood.
    Cook for 30 minutes.
    Sprinkle gumbo file on top (about 1 tablespoon) and cook slowly 30 more minutes longer if preferred.
