Cornbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 eggs
1 1/4 c. milk
1/4 c. melted shortening
1 1/2 c. corn meal
3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
Preparation

Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
Beat eggs; add milk and shortening. Sift remaining ingredients together, add to egg mixture and beat well.
Pour into greased shallow 9 x 9-inch pan and bake in hot oven until bread shrinks from sides of pan, about 20 to 25 minutes.
