Apple Pan Dowdy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 sliced apples
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/4 c. molasses
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    pinch of nutmeg
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. hot water
    1 c. flour
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. milk
Preparation
    Wash, and slice apples into large sauce pan.
    Add the sugar, molasses, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and hot water and simmer until soft.
    In the meantime, prepare dough by sifting together the dry ingredients,
    blending in the shortening and adding the milk. Place the apple mixture in a casserole dish, top with the dough. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes or until biscuit is brown.
