Indian Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. milk
    1/3 c. molasses
    1/3 c. yellow corn meal
    1 beaten egg
    1/4 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 tsp. ground ginger
    1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    In saucepan, combine milk and molasses; stir in corn meal. Cook and stir until thick, about 10 minutes.
    Remove from heat. Combine egg, sugar, butter, ginger, cinnamon and salt.
    Gradually stir in hot corn meal mixture.
    Bake in a 1-quart casserole uncovered at 300\u00b0 about 1 1/2 hours.
    Serve warm in individual dish with small scoop vanilla ice cream.
    Serves 6.
