Doug'S Sunday Scones - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/3 c. butter
1 3/4 c. flour
1 Tbsp. sugar
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 egg, beaten
4 to 6 Tbsp. milk
Preparation

Heat oven to 400\u00b0.
Mix flour, sugar and baking powder.
Cut butter into flour until it resembles fine crumbs.
Stir in egg and enough milk so dough leaves side of bowl.
Knead dough lightly 10 times on lightly floured surface.
Pat out 1/2-inch thick.
Cut into diamond shapes with a sharp knife.
Place on cookie sheet. Bake 10 to 12 minutes.
Serve hot with butter and jam.
