Hot Tamale Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. cooked pork
1 1/2 c. meat stock
1 clove garlic, minced
1 large onion, chopped
2 Tbsp. chili powder
1 c. pitted ripe olives
1/2 tsp. ground comino seed
salt to taste
1 lb. cornmeal
3 c. boiling water
1 Tbsp. salt
Preparation

Grind meat, then combine with stock, garlic, onion, chili powder, cumino and salt.
Cook 15 minutes.
Stir in olives.
Make a stiff mush by scalding cornmeal with boiling water and 1 tablespoon of salt.
Line baking dish with the mush; reserve enough for topping.
Pour the meat mixture into bottom crust. Make a top crust with remaining mush.
Bake to golden brown for 45 minutes at 350\u00b0.
Serves 6.
