No Fool Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 stick oleo
    1 c. self-rising flour
    3/4 c. sugar
    3/4 c. milk
    1 1/2 c. drained fruit
Preparation
    Melt oleo in 8 or 9-inch baking dish while oven is heating to 350\u00b0.
    Set aside.
    Combine flour, sugar and 1/2 of the milk.
    Stir until dry ingredients are moist.
    Add remaining milk and stir until smooth.
    Pour batter over oleo.
    Do not stir.
    Place drained fruit over top of mixture.
    Do not stir.
    Bake 30 to 40 minutes or until lightly brown and center springs back when touched.
