Cabbage Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 large cabbage leaves
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 small onion, chopped
    1 egg, beaten
    1/4 c. uncooked rice
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
Preparation
    Scald cabbage in hot water; drain well.
    Mix all ingredients except tomato sauce.
    Form small rolls of beef mixture.
    Place in cabbage leaves; fold ends.
    Roll up and fasten with toothpicks. Place in a buttered casserole dish and pour on tomato sauce. Cover and bake 1 hour in a 350\u00b0 oven.
    Remove lid 15 minutes before serving.
