Ingredients

3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. margarine
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. cloves
1 c. chopped dates
1 c. chopped candied cherries
1 c. flaked coconut
1 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. buttermilk
Preparation

Cream sugar & margarine together.
Add egg and vanilla.
Beat until light and fluffy.
Add flour, spices & buttermilk.
Mix thoroughly.
Stir in fruit and nuts.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet.
Bake 12-15 minutes at 350 degrees.
