Mexican Cornbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 eggs, well beaten
1 c. milk
1 c. yellow cornmeal
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. soda
1 can cream-style corn
1/4 c. bacon grease
2 jalapeno peppers (optional)
1 onion, chopped fine
1/4 bell pepper, chopped fine
1/2 lb. Cheddar cheese, grated
1/2 lb. ground meat
Preparation

Mix all ingredients together except cheese and ground meat. Brown ground meat.
Drain well.
Pour 1/2 corn bread mixture in skillet.
Add ground meat on top and spread evenly.
Sprinkle cheese over ground meat.
Pour remaining corn bread mixture over cheese.
Bake for 45 minutes at 350\u00b0 in a 10-inch skillet.
Serve with green salad.
Serves 6 to 8 people.
