Banana Apple Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 c. peeled and chopped apple
    1 c. mashed banana
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. chopped nuts (optional)
    peanut butter (optional)
Preparation
    Cream shortening, add sugar and beat well.
    Add eggs, mixing well.
    Stir in apple and banana.
    Add nuts, if desired.
    Combine flour, soda and salt.
    Add to mixture, stirring just until blended.
    Pour into a greased and floured (or use Pam/Baker's Joy) 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour or until a toothpick comes out clean.
    Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then remove.
