Ingredients

1 c. raisins
1/2 c. butter
1 1/3 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1/4 c. milk
2 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. chopped apple
Preparation

In a saucepan, cover raisins with water.
Bring to a boil. Remove from heat.
Cover and let stand 5 minutes.
Drain.
Cream brown sugar and butter.
Beat in egg and milk.
Sift together flour, spices and baking soda; add to butter mixture.
Beat until blended.
Stir in nuts, apples and drained raisins.
Drop by teaspoonfuls.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
Immediately cool on wire rack.
