Vanilla Icebox Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. white sugar
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 egg
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 c. nuts
Preparation
    Cream shortening, sugars, egg and vanilla.
    Gradually add dry ingredients.
    Mix well.
    Add nuts.
    Turn dough out on a piece of waxed paper.
    Roll into a 2 x 2-inch log.
    Chill several hours. Slice in 1/4-inch slices.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
