Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. butter
    1 lb. confectioners sugar
    3 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    7 large eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar together until fluffy.
    Add one egg at a time, beating well after each egg.
    Add vanilla to mixture and blend well.
    Sift flour and baking powder together and add to the mixture.
    Beat at medium speed for 1 to 2 minutes.
    Pour batter into lined greased tube pan.
    Bake in a preheated oven of 325\u00b0 for 1 hour or until cake springs back when touched lightly with finger. Remove from oven and allow to cool 10 minutes before removing from pan.
