Poached Salmon Steaks With Fresh Dill - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. water
    1/2 c. dry white wine
    1 slice onion
1 large sprig fresh dill, plus chopped fresh dill for garnish
    1 bay leaf
    1/2 tsp. salt
3 or 4 salmon steaks, about 1/2 inch thick (about 1-3/4 lb. total)
Preparation
Combine water, wine, onion, dill sprig, bay leaf and salt in deep skillet and bring to boil.
    Boil gently 3 minutes.
    Add salmon steaks.
Turn heat to high and return to boil.
Cover and cook over low heat until fish is cooked through, about 7 minutes for 1/2-inch-thick salmon steaks and longer for thicker steaks.
