Pickles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. distilled white vinegar
4 c. sugar
1/2 c. salt
1 1/2 tsp. turmeric, ground
1 1/3 tsp. celery seed
1 1/3 tsp. mustard seed
3 large onions, sliced thin
10 to 12 cucumbers, sliced thin
Preparation
-
Mix spices together; stir until syrupy.
Fill jar with onions and cucumbers in alternate layers.
Pour syrup mixture over slices and refrigerate for 5 days.
