Applesauce Pecan Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 large eggs
    1 c. applesauce
    1 c. sugar
    1/3 c. vegetable oil
    3 Tbsp. milk
    1 tsp. cinnamon, divided
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. flour
    1 1/4 c. chopped pecans, divided
    1/2 c. candied fruit
    1/4 c. packed brown sugar
    candied cherries (to decorate top)
Preparation
    Beat eggs until foamy.
    Stir in next 4 ingredients.
    Mix together 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon and next 5 ingredients.
    Gradually add to first mixture until well mixed.
    Stir in 1 cup nuts and the fruit.
    Spread in a well-greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
    Mix remaining nuts, cinnamon and brown sugar and spread evenly over batter and press in a little.
    Bake in a preheated 350\u00b0 oven for 1 hour.
    To keep from overbrowning, spread foil over top last half an hour.
    Turn out on side on a rack to cool.
    Can be frozen.
