Pepper Biscuits - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 c. shortening
1/2 tsp. coarse pepper
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. buttermilk
Preparation

Cut together flour, baking powder and shortening.
Mix pepper, salt and butter; then add to first mixture.
Flour hands.
Roll in hands to form biscuits.
Pat tops slightly to flatten.
Put on greased tray.
Bake on 2nd rack at 450\u00b0 or 500\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes, until tops are browned.
