Chocolate Pie Filling - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 sq. bitter chocolate or 1/3 c. cocoa (large)
    2 1/2 c. milk
    1 c. sugar
    6 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 egg yolks, slightly beaten
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Heat 2 cups of the milk in a saucepan.
    Put the sugar, cocoa, flour and salt and the other 1/2 cup of milk in a bowl.
    Add to the hot milk; cook until it comes to a boil and thickens.
    Cook 10 minutes more; then add the 2 egg yolks, slightly beaten and cook for 2 minutes longer.
    Take off stove and add the butter or margarine and the vanilla.
    Place in a pie shell with Cool Whip or make a meringue, using the two egg whites, 2 or 4 tablespoons sugar, 1/8 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon vanilla.
