Spanish Rice - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 lb. bacon
1 yellow sweet onion
2 (15 oz.) cans tomato sauce
1 (15 oz.) can diced tomatoes
1 (15 oz.) can navy or Great Northern beans, drained and rinsed
1 tsp. garlic salt
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. ground cumin
1/4 c. salsa
4 to 5 c. Minute rice (add as needed)
Preparation

Cut bacon into small pieces. Dice onion and brown together and drain. Add all ingredients EXCEPT rice. Simmer on medium-low for 30 minutes. Turn down to low. Add rice. Stir and shut off burner. Let stand 5 to 10 minutes for rice to soak up juices.
