Ingredients

3/4 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
1 scant c. sifted all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. sliced almonds
Preparation

Cream together the butter and sugar until very light and fluffy.
Beat in flour, vanilla and almonds.
Drop by teaspoonful on a buttered cookie sheet rather far apart.
Flatten with a spoon.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes at 400\u00b0.
Remove from oven and let stand for 3 minutes.
Remove with spatula.
