Chocolate Chip Bar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 c. Kretschmer original or honey crunch wheat germ
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
    1 c. margarine, softened
    3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    3/4 c. granulated sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. (1 c.) semi-sweet chocolate pieces
Preparation
    Heat oven to 375\u00b0. In a small bowl, combine flour, wheat germ, baking soda and salt; mix well. In large bowl, beat together margarine and sugars until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla, mixing until well blended. Gradually add flour mixture; mix well. Stir in chocolate pieces. Spread
    into a 15 x 10-inch jelly roll pan. Bake 20 to 22 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on wire rack. Cut into 2 1/2 x 1 1/2-inch bars. Makes 42 bars.
