Fresh Pea Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 qt. chicken broth
2 1/2 Tbsp. flour
5 c. raw peas or 2 1/2 pkg. frozen peas
5 Tbsp. butter
2 small onions, cubed
2 1/2 c. thin cream
1/2 Tbsp. salt
Preparation

Add all ingredients except cream to blender.
Cover and blend until smooth.
Before serving, put blended ingredients into a large pot, bring to a boil and simmer for about 5 minutes.
Add the cream, heating again to boiling.
Season to taste.
May also add diced and cooked carrots, potatoes and ham.
Or serve sprinkled with chopped fried bacon.
Serve hot or cold.
Yields 9 servings.
