Pecan Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
6 eggs
1 lb. butter
2 c. chopped pecans
1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 lb. candied cherries
1/2 lb. candied pineapple
1 1/2 oz. bottle lemon extract
Preparation

Mix flour and baking powder with the candied fruits.
Cream the butter and sugars together.
Separate the eggs.
Add the egg yolks and the flour mixture alternately with the lemon extract and pecans.
Fold in the stiffly beaten egg whites.
Pour into a greased and floured tube pan.
Let stand overnight.
Next day, bake at 250\u00b0 for 3 hours.
