Tamale Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. lean ground beef
1 (No. 2 1/2) can cream-style corn
1 (2 1/4 oz.) sliced ripe olives
1 c. salad oil
2 large onions, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 c. milk
2 eggs
2 c. yellow corn meal
1/2 tsp. red pepper
salt to taste
1 (No. 2 1/2) can tomatoes
1/2 tsp. black pepper
Preparation

Fry onions and garlic in oil.
Add meat and work loosely.
Add tomatoes, corn and pepper.
Let simmer for 15 minutes.
Beat eggs; add milk and corn meal.
Combine ingredients.
Put in baking pan, 15 x 10 x 2 1/4-inches deep.
Sprinkle black olives on top.
Bake 45 minutes in a 350\u00b0 oven.
Serves 20 people.
Great dish for potlucks, family gatherings or picnics.
