Chocolate Peek-A-Boos - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. milk
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preparation
    Heat
    milk
    and
    butter
    in a saucepan just to boiling. Add sifted
    dry ingredients, all at once, to hot milk.\tCook, stirring constantly,
    until
    mixture leaves sides of pan in a smooth, compact
    ball.
    Remove from heat.
    Blend in eggs, one at
    a
    time, beating well after each until mixture is smooth. Add
    vanilla; mix
    well
    and
    cool.
    Stir in chocolate chips. Drop
    by
    scant teaspoonfuls,
    2 inches apart, onto a greased cookie sheet.
    Bake in\ta
    375\u00b0 oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or until
    golden
    brown. For
    drier\tPeek-A-Boos,
    turn off oven after
    baking,
    prick cookies with a sharp knife and let stand in
    oven
    for
    5 minutes.
    Sprinkle with confectioners sugar. Cool;\tsprinkle
    with more
    confectioners
    sugar,
    if needed. Makes 6 dozen.
