Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. raisins
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. margarine
    2 eggs
    3 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. soda
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    3/4 tsp. cloves
    3/4 tsp. nutmeg
    3/4 c. chopped nuts
    1 1/2 c. applesauce
Preparation
    Pour boiling water over raisins and set aside.
    Work brown sugar gradually into margarine until creamy.
    Beat together until light and fluffy.
    Add eggs and beat well.
    Add applesauce.
    Sift together dry ingredients and add to the applesauce mixture.
    Drain raisins and then add to the cake mixture; add nuts.
    Pour into well greased and floured tube pan.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour or until done when tested with a wooden toothpick.
