Sour Cream Cutout Sandies - cooking recipe

1/2 c. broken pecans
2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. butter or margarine
1/3 c. shortening
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1/3 c. dairy sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla
Lemon Glaze
chopped pecans or pistachios
Preparation

Grind the 1/2 cup pecans with a food grinder, food processor or blender.
Combine ground pecans, flour and baking powder.
In a large mixer bowl beat butter and shortening until butter is softened.
Add sugar and beat until fluffy.
Add egg, sour cream and vanilla and beat well.
Add flour mixture and beat until well mixed.
Divide dough in half.
Cover and chill at least 3 hours or until easy to handle.
