Cornmeal Gravy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. drippings (oil)
    1/3 c. cornmeal
    2 1/2 c. water
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Heat drippings.
    Add cornmeal.
    Brown, then add water slowly and stir continually.
    Add salt and pepper.
    Cook to desired thickness.
