Ingredients

1/2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 egg yolk
1/2 c. shortening
3/4 tsp. salt
3 Tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Mix together.
Roll out.
Cut into cookies with cutter that has a ruffled or scalloped edge.
Brush with egg white and sprinkle chopped nuts on them.
Bake in moderate oven until lightly browned.
