Baked Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. yellow cornmeal
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. sour cream
    1/2 c. corn oil
    1 can corn Niblets
    1/2 c. Cheddar cheese, grated (optional)
    1 tsp. chili powder (optional)
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Grease a 9-inch square metal pan or 10-inch cast-iron skillet; place in hot oven.
    Combine cornmeal, baking powder and salt.
    Add eggs, sour cream and oil; blend well. Stir in corn.
    Pour 1/2 of batter into heated pan.
    Cover with cheese.
    Spoon remaining batter on top; sprinkle top with chili powder.
    Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until lightly browned.
    Cut in squares.
    Makes 8 servings.
