Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. yellow corn meal
1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. minced onion
1 egg
2/3 c. milk

Preparation

Sift dry ingredients together.
Add onion.
Beat egg; add milk and add to dry ingredients.
Drop by teaspoonfuls into hot fat (375\u00b0).
Fry until golden brown and serve hot with fried fish. Makes about 48 small balls.
