Basil Chicken - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. olive oil
1/2 c. red wine vinegar
1/2 c. basil leaves, cut into strips
1/4 c. lemon juice
1 Tbsp. grated lemon peel
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 roasting chicken, cut into pieces (about 5 lb.)
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. sugar
basil leaves (for garnish)
Preparation

In a large plastic food bag, combine first 7 ingredients; add chicken.
Close.
Chill 2 to 3 hours.
Preheat oven to 325\u00b0. Place chicken in single layer with marinade in roasting pan. Cover with foil.
Bake 45 minutes.
Remove foil.
Bake 30 minutes or until juice runs clear when pierced.
Skim fat from drippings.
