Warm German-Style Potato Salad - cooking recipe

10 medium-sized red potatoes (4 c. potatoes)
3/4 lb. bacon (1/2 lb. bacon)
1 Tbsp. flour
2 tsp. salt (1 1/2 tsp. salt)
1/3 c. sugar
3/4 c. vinegar (delete)
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1/2 c. celery
1 onion, minced
1/4 c. green pepper
Preparation

Cook potatoes; cool. Remove skins of potatoes and slice. Cut bacon in small pieces and saute until crisp. Remove bacon from fat and place on potatoes. Add flour to bacon fat and then sugar and vinegar. Cook until slightly thickened. Add onion, green pepper, celery, salt and pepper to the potatoes. Pour hot mixture over the potatoes; mix well. Salad can be kept warm in a very low oven. Garnish with sliced hard-cooked eggs. Makes 8 servings.
