Seven Layer Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce, shredded
    1/2 c. chopped green onion
    1 (10 oz.) box frozen peas, cooked and drained
    8 strips bacon, cooked, drained and crumbled
    1/2 c. chopped celery
    1/2 c. diced green pepper
    1 pt. mayonnaise
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    In a large glass bowl place lettuce, then layers of celery, onion, pepper and peas.
    Spread mayonnaise to the edges of the bowl, sealing all.
    Sprinkle sugar, then layer bacon and cheese. Cover tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate until serving. May be prepared a day ahead of serving.
