Golden Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. enriched flour
    1 tsp. salt
    3 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 c. yellow corn meal
    2 eggs, beaten
    3/4 c. milk
    1/4 c. melted shortening
    1/4 c. corn syrup
Preparation
    Sift flour, measure and sift again with salt and baking powder. Add corn meal.
    Combine eggs, milk, syrup and shortening; add to dry ingredients.
    Beat until smooth.
    Bake in greased pan 9 x 9-inch in hot oven, 400\u00b0, for 25 to 30 minutes.
