French Toast Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 long loaf French bread
    8 large eggs
    3 c. milk
    4 tsp. sugar
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    2 Tbsp. butter, cut in small pieces
Preparation
    Generously butter a 13 x 9-inch baking dish.
    Cut bread into 1-inch slices.
    Arrange in single layer over bottom of prepared dish.
    Beat the eggs, milk, sugar, salt and vanilla in large bowl until mixed.
    Pour over bread; cover with foil.
    Refrigerate. Uncover; dot with butter pieces.
    Bake, uncovered,
    at 350\u00b0 for 50 minutes, until bread is puffy and lightly browned.
    Serve with your favorite syrup or honey.
