Lemon Christmas Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. butter
    2 c. sugar
    6 eggs
    4 c. flour (cake flour)
    1 (2 oz.) bottle lemon extract
    1 qt. pecans, chopped
    1/2 lb. candied cherries
    1/2 lb. candied pineapple
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar; add unbeaten eggs, one at a time.
    Add flour and extract (flour, fruit and nuts); beat batter 2 minutes before adding fruit and nuts; mix well.
    Bake in tube pan 30 minutes at 300\u00b0; reduce heat to 200\u00b0 and bake for 15 minutes. Serves 20.
