Rice And Mushrooms - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick margarine
    1 c. uncooked rice
    1/2 large onion, chopped
    1 can beef consomme
    1 can water
    1 can sliced mushrooms, drained
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Melt 1 stick margarine.
    Add 1 cup of uncooked rice and 1/2 large onion (chopped).
    Cook until rice is golden brown.
    Add 1 can of beef consomme and 1 can of water to mixture.
    Stir well and add 1 can of sliced mushrooms, drained.
    Salt and pepper to taste. Pour in 2-quart casserole and cover.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 50 minutes.
    Remove cover and bake additional 10 to 15 minutes. Serve with any meat or fish dishes.
    Serves 6 to 8.
