Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 c. yellow corn meal
1/4 c. flour
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. soda
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 eggs
3/4 c. buttermilk
1/4 c. finely chopped onions

Preparation

Heat 2 inches of oil to 375\u00b0.
Mix corn meal, flour, baking powder, soda, salt and pepper.
Beat eggs and buttermilk and add to dry ingredients.
Blend in onions.
Drop by tablespoon in hot oil and fry until golden brown.
