Peach Preserves - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    10 large peaches, peeled, pitted and sliced
    6 c. sugar
Preparation
    Combine the peaches and the sugar and let stand in a cool place overnight.
    Boil gently, stirring frequently, until the fruit is clear and the syrup thick, about 45 minutes.
    Pour into hot, sterilized jars and seal.
