Minestrone - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. Italian sausage (in casing)
    1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1 c. diced onions
    1 c. diced carrots
    2 small zucchini, sliced or 1 (16 oz.) can
    2 c. canned tomatoes
    2 c. finely shredded cabbage
    3 beef bouillon cubes, in 1 1/2 c. hot water
    1 tsp. crushed basil
    1/4 tsp. oregano
    1/4 tsp. garlic powder
    2 c. cooked Great Northern beans
Preparation
    Slice sausage in 1/2-inch rings and brown in oil.
    Add onion and carrot and cook 5 minutes more.
    Add bouillon and remaining ingredients except beans.
    Simmer for 1 hour.
    Add beans and cook 20 minutes more.
    Put in 1 tablespoon sugar and 1/4 teaspoon pepper during the last 20 minutes of cooking.
