All Day Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    chuck roast or other beef, cut in large chunks
    potatoes, pared and cut in pieces
    carrots, pared and cut in pieces
    onions, cut in pieces
    celery, cut in chunks
    about 1/4 c. barley (optional)
    1 can V-8 juice
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 Tbsp. tapioca (1 minute)
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Put in pan and bake at 250\u00b0 for 6 hours.
