Chicken Pot Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. chopped onion
1 c. chopped celery
1 c. chopped carrots
1/3 c. butter or margarine
1/2 c. all-purpose flour
2 c. chicken broth
1 c. half and half
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
4 c. chopped cooked chicken
Preparation

Saute onion, celery and carrots in butter for 10 minutes.
Add flour to sauteed mixture, stirring well.
Cook 1 minute.
Combine broth and half and half.
Stir into vegetable mixture, cook over medium heat, stir constantly until thick.
Stir in salt and pepper.
Add chicken and stir well.
Pour chicken mixture into a shallow 2-quart casserole.
Top with pastry.
I use 2 ready-made pie crusts.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for about 40 minutes or until golden brown.
