Penuche Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/4 c. brown sugar
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 tsp. hot water
Preparation
    Combine sugars with milk in saucepan.
    Bring to boil slowly, stirring until sugars are completely dissolved.
    Cover saucepan and boil slowly for 2 minutes.
    Uncover and boil to soft ball stage (232\u00b0).
    Add butter and vanilla.
    Cool until 110\u00b0.
    Beat until frosting loses its gloss.
    Add hot water and continue until good spreading consistency.
    Spread quickly on cake.
