Blue Ribbon Cornsticks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. plain flour
    1 to 2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. milk
    1/2 c. yellow cornmeal
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 egg, beaten
    2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
Preparation
    Combine dry ingredients; mix well.
    Add egg, milk and oil; stir until smooth.
    Place in a well-greased cast iron cornstick pan in a 425\u00b0 oven for 3 minutes; then spoon batter 2/3 full into pans.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
