Bleached Raisin Irish Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
1 c. bleached (white) raisins
1/2 c. currants
2 eggs
1/2 c. butter
Preparation

Sift flour, baking powder and salt together.
Sprinkle a little over the raisins and currants.
Cut in butter with a pastry blender, then add eggs (beaten) and milk.
Turn onto floured board and mold into round loaf.
Place in greased skillet and bake 1 hour in a 350\u00b0 oven.
Keeps for several days and is good for tea sandwiches.
