Summer Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large box Jell-O (any flavor, but red is best)
    1 Duncan Hines white cake mix, prepared as directed
    Cool Whip
Preparation
    Prepare Jell-O as directed but omit the cold water.
    Do not refrigerate.
    Let set at room temperature.
    Bake cake, using a 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Let cool.
    Poke holes in cake.
    Pour Jell-O over cake and refrigerate at least 2 hours.
    Frost with Cool Whip before serving.
